Case Construction Equipment powered its existing line of backhoe-loaders with Fiat Powertrain engines that use selective catalytic reduction to meet Tier 4 Final emissions limits, and added the new 580N EP model with a 74-hp engine to remove the complexity and cost of aftertreatment. Downsizing the engine from 90 hp to 74 hp allows the new 580N EP to certify as a Tier 4 Final engine with just a flow-through diesel oxidation catalyst. And while the line's new value-leader machine gives up about 300 lb. of loader lift capacity to its 90-hp line mates, it maintains the same backhoe lift capacity and breakout force as the standard 580N backhoe with better fuel economy and a maintenance-free emissions solution. All N Series models come standard with SiteWatch telematics, and can be outfitted with a variety of standards/options such as Power Lift, Ride Control, Comfort Steer, ProControl, Easy Flex side lights and a mechanical universal backhoe bucket coupler that allows contractors to use attachments from competitive machines. Each machine is also available in the Extendahoe configuration for extended digging and reach capabilities.

  • Case's venerable over-center backhoe design transfers weight to the front of the machine for smooth roading and better traction, and allows the operator to dig closer to the machine
  • Simple controls with adjustable pilot control towers, a control pattern selector and adjustable wrist rests
  • Standard Adjustable SmartClutch lets operators customize the feel of forward-to-reverse transitions (smooth, moderate or aggressive) to their preference
  • SmartFit bucket tooth system features heavy-duty self-sharpening teeth and a hammerless fastener system for easy installation
  • 74-hp 580N EP features an 11,517-lb. backhoe bucket breakout force, 2,858-lb. backhoe lift capacity and peak torque of 233 ft.-lbs., as well as a particulate matter catalyst that combines a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and high-efficiency flow-through filter that requires no additional fluids and no diesel particulate filter (DPF)
  • 580N, 580 Super N, 580 Super N Wide Track and 590 Super N feature Fiat Powertrain (FPT) engines with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology that does not require a DPF or other components to meet Tier 4 Final
  • Ratings from 90 to 110 hp, 11,517 to 15,853 lb. of backhoe bucket breakout force and 2,858 to 4,175 lb. of lift capacity
  • 590 Super N features a 19-ft. 7-in. standard reach and 15-ft. 6-in. digging depth
  • Available options include Power Lift, Speed Selectable Automatic Ride Control, Comfort Steer, a fully integrated Hydraulic Quick Coupler, ProControl swing dampening system, Engine ECO Mode, Auto Engine Protection Shutdown, S-Type Auto Shifting Transmission and Heated Air-Ride Seat
