Each year National Pavement Expo brings new speakers (among more than 25 new topics) to the NPE conference program, Feb. 2-5 in Nashville, and this year NPE brings in some new nationally known speakers. Here's some insight into the backgrounds of four new NPE speakers - along with some hints on why their sessions will be valuable to NPE contractors.

Jeff maintains a busy schedule speaking and consults on the topics of social media marketing, relationship selling, and entrepreneurship trends. A social media columnist for GIE Media, he is a frequent guest blogger, and a recognized expert in the green industry, where he has served on several association boards. Jeff's New Media and Small Business Marketing blog is ranked by Technorati as a Top 100 Small Business Blog. Kraig Kramers
As a nationally-known speaker for 20 years, Kraig Kramers speaks to CEOs, universities and management groups 100 times each year. His topics include tools that dramatically accelerate profitable business growth, tools for doing acquisitions that work and ways to strategically position companies for success. Kraig was recently named Speaker of the Year out of nearly 2,000 speakers by TEC Worldwide, the pre-eminent management coaching firm. Kraig used the tools he teaches to turn around Snapper, the number one brand of lawnmowers sold through servicing dealers in America, from a loss of $54 million to a profit of $13 million in one year. In addition he used the same tools to grow Graphic Arts Center, a major printer, from $60 million to $120 million in sales in four years. And his strategy and tools enabled a small company to grow from $1.1 million to $2.4 million in a single year. Kraig is presenting a 3-hour workshop W-10, The Profitmaker's Toolchest, at NPE.

Jeff Slutsky
With a background in both advertising and public relations, Jeff Slutsky had an opportunity to practice what he preached when he became part owner of a night club and later a health club. With the marketing dollars now coming out of his own pocket, he soon began to discover and develop result-oriented, low-cost tactics to build sales. This unique combination of shrewd thinking, innovative problem solving, budgeting on a shoe-string, and a lot of hard work, came to be known as "Street Fighting." His Street Fighting program has received a great deal of national media attention including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Inc Magazine, and CNN. The Street Fighter client list includes AT&T, American Express, Chevron, Walt Disney, Pizza Hut, Honda, Sony, Goodyear, Marvel Comics, The City of Dallas, the State of Arkansas, and Country of India. He's President and Founder of Street Fighter Marketing in Columbus, Ohio which specializes in teaching businesses how to market, promote and increase sales on a shoe-string budget. He has authored and published nine books, three audio albums and six video training tapes.
