One of the biggest benefits National Pavement Expo West offers attendees is education. This year's show had 25 educational seminars for attendees to choose from covering topics in sweeping, paving, striping, sealcoating, patching, and business management. On Thursday and Friday attendees also had the option of attending any of six three-hour workshops related to pavement maintenance and business management. Thursday evening ended with Round Table discussions where contractors sat down with peers to discuss and solve questions and problems they are facing in their respective industries.
Not only did these seminars and workshops provide contractors with educational opportunities but they also offered a chance for attendees to network with other contractors in their fields. Speakers engaged the entire class during presentations, making the seminars and workshops a two-way street for communication and learning.
