Vermeer has introduced the SC1152 and SC652 stump cutters, designed to enhance cutting and the ability to maneuver through tough jobsite conditions. An innovative and unique four-bar linkage allows the cutter wheel to move away from the machine as the boom drops down toward the stump, reducing the need to reposition the entire unit. Both units can achieve cutting heights of 31 inches (79 cm) above ground and 25 inches (64 cm) below grade. Full-time, four-wheel drive and variable speed control provide traction in difficult ground conditions. An optional remote control provides propel, boom and steering-function control. Chips can be easily moved on the jobsite with an optional 34-inch (86 cm) wide front-mounted chip blade.

SF-2500 SuperFreeze
The new Ridgid SF-2500 SuperFreeze pipe freezing unit quickly and easily isolates sections of copper or steel pipe with ice plugs, eliminating complete system shut-downs and draining. The SF-2500 forms ice plugs in as little as five minutes in steel pipes up to 2 inches and copper tubing up to 2 ½ inches. One or two plugs can be formed with a single unit at the same time. The RIDGID SF-2500 unit operates automatically once the freeze heads are attached to the pipes and the unit is turned on. The unit continues to run during repairs, insuring the ice plugs do not melt. Flexible rubber hoses connecting the freeze heads to the unit make them easier to handle and allow for quicker coiling and storage in its rugged stainless steel carrying case. When anchoring a rod in a hole, dust and debris from drilling may prevent epoxy from adhering, and the rod may not anchor properly. John Deere has added a new PowerTech ETM 6068 Tier 3 engine to its 710J Backhoe, improving both emissions compliance and power. The 710J still provides a dig depth of 22 ft. 4 in. when extended. The new 710Js feature net horsepower of 126 hp, compared to the 123 hp on the Tier 2 engines. For example, the high pressure common rail fuel system provides higher injection pressures, variable timing, and precise control of fuel injection, giving it highly efficient combustion. The redesigned ECU is now located inside the cab and in-depth diagnostics can be retrieved using the monitors onboard diagnostics or Service AdvisorTM. Deere has also ensured that daily servicing duties are easy to accomplish by putting all service points on the same side and accessed from the ground. Owners wont need to raise the boom and no tools are necessary to open and tilt the hood, which can be tilted to 90 degrees if needed."
