National Pavement Expo 2009 Sucess for Exhibitors and Attendees

Despite a tough economy contractors sent their decision-makers to the show as evidenced by the number of seminars most contractors attended and the fact that a lot of buying was taking place on the exhibit floor. By close of business on the show’s first day one exhibitor had sold three mid-priced machines, one had sold two top-of-the-line pieces of equipment, and at least 16 other exhibitors had sold at least one piece of equipment. “As in the past the first day made this show for us,” one exhibitor told Allan Heydorn, editor of Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction. “Everything else we get from here on is gravy.” By end of show Saturday at least a dozen materials suppliers had made what they considered “significant” sales (or established new dealer relationships).
