The following are products recently introduced to the rental market, as well as models which have undergone significant changes.
Fecon Stump Hog SH340
Fecon introduces the Stump Hog SH340 attachment for hydraulic excavators. Designed for reaching up and down slopes and other areas that can't be reached by traditional stump grinding equipment, the SH340 has 90 cutting tools with large thick carbide tips that are patterned for maximum cutting action while protecting the wheel and each other from wear and foreign materials. The 33- by 4 1/2-in. wide tip-to-tip cutting wheel utilizes the Sandvik Dura DiskTM II Stump Cutting System.
Mi-T-M 12- and 13-kW Series Generators
The 12,000-and 13,000-watt series from Mi-T-M features Honda OHV or Subaru OHV engines offering low oil shutdown and electric start. Features include a reinforced 1.25-in. powder-coated steel tube frame with integrated center-balanced lifting hook and 120V/240V alternator. Units also offer an easy access control panel, 11.5-gal. fuel tank, idle control, voltmeter, hour meter and four pneumatic tires.
Tanaka Backpack Blowers
Tanaka's TBL-7800 and TBL-7800R are powered by a 65cc, two-stroke engine and have an air volume output of 850 cfm. The TBL-7800 features a side-mounted throttle and the TBL-7800R is equipped with a tube-mounted throttle. Both units are EPA Phase 2 and CARB Tier II compliant.
Multiquip Jimmy
The Jimmy hydraulic rebar bender from Multiquip precisely shapes #4 to #11 rebar. The seven models in the series do the job in seconds and allow the operator to easily bend rebar after it's been placed in concrete. Units will bend rebar up to 180 degrees and are ideal for applications including offset bends or doglegs, 90-degree hook, 180-degree can hook, straightening and stirrup and tie hook. Models range in weight from 22 to 110 lbs.
Henke Tube Table Snowplow
The Henke Tube Table Snowplow is heavy duty in design and construction and is ideal for high-country rugged applications where extra durability is required. Featuring a 5" x 5" x 3/8" tubular reversing table, this snowplow provides one of the toughest reversing mechanisms available today. A unique six-spring tripping mechanism allows the moldboard to pass over roadway obstacles and automatically reset to the plowing position. A special "shock absorbing" rubber block limits trip travel for the overall safety of the operator and environment.
Yanmar B7-5A
Yanmar's new articulated-boom excavator has a maximum dig depth of 14 ft. 9 in. Features include a "flow-control" three-pump hydraulic system with variable-displacement pumps, hydraulic PTO at the arm end that allows for greater attachment utilization and a hydraulic pilot and wrist-control lever system. Unit is powered by a 58.2-hp Yanmar Clean & Silent direct-injected, four-cylinder, Tier II diesel engine.
Vermeer BC1400TX Brush Chipper
The BC1400TX brush chipper can process wood up to 15 in. in diameter and is powered by a 122-hp (91 kW) Cat 3054 DITA engine. A flexible-track undercarriage allows operators to steer the mid-sized chipper through areas where tow vehicles might not be able to maneuver in forestry applications because of uneven terrain or confined working areas.
Scanlift XS Series
Specialty Equipment Co. announces two new Scanlift XS Series trailerable boom lifts that can be easily transported by a one-ton or larger truck and trailer. The Scanlift XS 240 has a 79-ft. working height, 506-lb. platform capacity and weighs only 10,600 lbs. The Scanlift XS 190 has a 61-ft. platform height, 506-lb. platform capacity, full hydraulic controls and 8,140-lb. vehicle weight. Both models are powered by Kubota diesel engines and have four-wheel drive.
Clare PrimeTest 50
The PrimeTest 50 is an easy-to-use and basic electrical safety checker that provides immediate, push-button "pass/fail" indication. The hand-held instrument is battery powered and lightweight for maximum portability and provides the user with an inexpensive and simple solution for checking the safety of power cords and portable electric tools. Instrument is provided with a number of different adaptors to suit a variety of cords covering both 115- and 124-volt and 15- and 20-mp NEMA connectors.
Belle RPC Reversible Plates
Four new plates make up the RPC range of reversible plates from Belle Group. From 340 lbs. through 1,150 lbs. machine weight, machines are powered by Honda gas engine power up to the largest where the Hatz 1D81Z diesel (electric start) engine is standard. All models not only compact in forward and reverse, but also perform "on the spot" compaction.
Multivibe Cordless Hummer Screed from Jlin
The Multivibe Cordless Hummer Screed can place up to 1,500 sq. ft. of concrete with just one battery. Lighter than engine-powered units, the Hummer Screed requires no starting (just pull the trigger) and offers quiet operation with no fumes. The Hummer Screed is three tools in one: a heavy-duty hammer drill, concrete vibrator and power screed.
Genie S-Series High-Capacity Boom Option
The new S-Series boom option, designed for Genie's S-60 HC telescopic boom, is ideal for the movie and theatre business as well as mechanical contractors, glazers, brick layers and others looking to move higher loads and up to three people into and out of hard-to-reach areas. With this boom option, Genie's S-60 HC offers a full range of motion up to 750 lbs., and supports platform loads up to 1,250 lbs. It supplies 40 ft. 8 in. of outreach, including up to three people and gear.
Hitachi Zaxis 75US
The newest member of Hitachi's Zaxis Series handles a wide variety of small jobs with the advantage of zero tail swing. Powered by a 54-net-hp engine, this machine features Hitachi's HIOS engine/hydrauilc system, which senses when additional power is needed and delivers it, as well as balancing hydraulic pressure and flow to ensure hydraulic functions are smooth. The HIOS system enables multi-function operation, minimizes fuel consumption and maximizes engine output.
