Based on the jump in equipment sales over the past year, it seems many contractors are finally back in the buying mode. If you happen to be one of them, you won’t find any bigger equipment “shopping mall” in North America than CONEXPO--CON/AGG 2005.
Held every three years in Las Vegas, CONEXPO--CON/AGG — scheduled for March 15 to 19 — promises to be bigger and better than ever. The show will feature approximately 2,300 exhibitors covering more than 1.85 million net sq. ft. of exhibit space. Over 100,000 industry professionals from 120+ countries are expected to flock to Vegas to see the latest in construction equipment technology and services.
Many of the products found within this issue will be on display at the show. A number of the newest products scheduled to be introduced at CONEXPO--CON/AGG are also highlighted in our show preview starting on p. 42.
If you hope to come away with more than equipment, CONEXPO--CON/AGG also offers a three--day program featuring over 115 educational seminars designed to introduce you to the latest information, tools and techniques to help ensure your business succeeds. The seminars are grouped into 12 program tracks organized by industry issues and trends. Three new tracks will focus on Construction Project Management; Equipment Maintenance: Management; and Equipment Maintenance: Operations.
The seminar program also features product--focused tracks on aggregates, asphalt, concrete, recycling, environmental regulations, safety and utility construction, as well as tracks covering general management and personal development issues. Information technology sessions have been integrated into each track to help you learn about IT solutions geared directly to your company’s needs.
Want to further enhance the value of your employees? Consider enrolling them in certification programs provided during the show. The Association of Equipment Management Professionals and the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators will both offer education and examination programs at the event.
