Can you tell me about a recent job? (Who was it for? How big was it? How long did it take? Did you have to do anything different to complete it?)
We did recently did a job for Bridgewater Farms in which we installed Ultralot Whitetopping at the entrance into their sub-division. Using Ultralot Whitetopping, the entrance pavement will last up to 300% longer. It will be safer for longer, it will withstand heavier traffic, it is maintenance free, and it is much more aesthetically pleasing.
The UltraLot Whitetopping also eliminated Bridgewater’s previous concern of figuring out how to light the entrance. It takes a lot less light and energy to keep a concrete entrance way lit compared to an asphalt entrance way.
The UltraLot Whitetopping fixed the problem of water infiltration because after milling the entrance area, Rabine patched the failed areas of pavement with asphalt, milled the edges down to the aggregate, and overlaid the entire entrance with concrete. This process created a stronger base using the existing asphalt, patching the failed areas, and overlaying it with a stronger pavement. Rabine engineers also solved Bridgewater’s drainage issues by changing elevations and engineering a valley gutter, all the water now runs off the pavement into the detention ponds.
To complete this project we used the most innovative equipment in the field that only a handful of contractors have in the country, such as a 3-D Laser Screed and A Copperhead Screed. No other competitor could have completed this job the way we did because of our innovative equipment and processes.
How did you begin working in this industry? How did you come up with the company name?
I worked for a paving company in high school. After graduation, I started a small residential paving company called Rabine Paving. Over the next couple of decades, Rabine Paving grew into commercial paving and quickly added a number of businesses into the group of companies.
How long have you had a Facebook page? What motivated you to create one?
We made one in August of 2010. We wanted to be able to communicate and connect with our current and potential clients in a new way.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am passionate about creating opportunity within the companies and exceeding the expectations of clients. Our goal is to be a world class organization in every industry we are in.
