Making the GC's Project Schedule Your Close Friend

Subcontractors must review all updated schedules compared to the originally - or most recent - agreed upon schedule to prevent penalties for not meeting scheduled deadlines

  1. Analyze the original detailed project schedule prior to signing your contract
  2. Analyze every updated project schedule and demand more money if justified
  3. Reject schedule updates if GC project manager refuses to do the right thing

GCs can't stand having paper trails that will work against them in arbitration or court. They will complain like mad, throw tantrums and all else when you push back on the schedule, but deep down inside they will know you are right and that sooner or later they will have to bend if they want to finish the job on time.
