In just seven days sealcoating contractors will be able to take a behind-the-scenes look at what happens when contractors and sealer producers face a potential ban on the material they use.
"How to Fight for Your Sealcoating Business," a free 60-minute webinar presented by the Pavement Coatings Technology Council (PCTC), will offer insights on how one East Coast producer of refined coal tar (RFT) sealer is working to conduct its business in the face of a local ban in part of its service area. The company, VelveTop, will present the story behind its response to successful and unsuccessful efforts to institute bans and will delve into what all this has meant to the day-to-day operation of their business.
Part two of the webinar will feature Koppers Inc.'s Mike Juba, who has been a PCTC point person on this RFT topic. Juba will provide the needed next step for contractors, outlining what contractors need to know to defend their sealcoating business. He will also detail what contractors should be saying to customers, local media and even elected officials and local government agency staff who come to you with questions about sealcoating.
