NCCER Offers Assessment and Certification Program
GAINESVILLE, FL - NCCER offers the National Craft Assessment and Certification Program (NCACP) to measure the knowledge and skill level of journey-level craft professionals in a specific craft area and provide a training prescription for upgrade training. The NCACP also contains level one assessments for entry-level and new employees. The NCACP consists of more than 45 assessments for the construction, maintenance, and pipeline industries and provides contractors with an effective tool to evaluate the skills and productivity of their workforce.
An individual's qualifications are documented and tracked through NCCER's National Registry, a credentialing and certification system assuring national portability of skills.Certifications for the NCACP include certified written, performance verified, and certified plus.
All assessments are based upon the Contren Learning Series curriculum and are developed in conjunction with Prov, NCCER's test development partner. Assessments are available in either paper/pencil or online format.

I have farmed nearly all of my life plus been a pipefitter since 1995 would like a study for pipefitter,rigger,Ironworker,welder because i have done all of it in my lifetime and know how to do the work very well. I have the NCCER heavy equipment card. thank you.

Hi, I am interested in finding out where i can find the information that will be on the NCCER certification test. I live in Arkansas, but will be working in GA soon. Please let me know the most convenient way for me to get certified. Im trying to get this done by November 23 2009.

I am interested in finding out about the NCCER Credentials for Pipefitters and Plumbers, and I was Trained as a Plumber and a Pipefitter Through The Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Refrigeration Workers Local 162, and I carry a Journeymans Card and a State of Ohio Master Plumbers License. Please advise.

To get certified via NCCER, go to their webpage at http://www.nccer.org/findCenter.asp
and use the search tool to find an Accredited NCCER Assessment Center near you. Then contact the Assessment Center and find out pricing and schedules for the testing. There is no "online test" that you can take from home, nor are there "practice tests"-you have to go to an Assessment Center where they will proctor the assessment test-you can take it as a paper or computer-based test but you must take it at the Assessment Center. All NCCER tests are referenced in their Curriculum so if you are looking for a study guide, then you shouldl look at their catalog of Craft training textbooks as that is the material they used to build the assessment tests.

I have 30 years experience as an ironworker where can I take a test in Alabama? Can I take it on line or do I need to go somewhere to take the test. If you have the experience do you need to study? How long does the test take and how soon do you get your score and card?
