Food and drink will be provided during the community build.

The playground will be open the same hours as the Tammany Trace, from 7 a.m. until dark.

It is at the Tammany Trace Trailhead on Koop Drive in Mandeville, just off of Interstate 12 and Louisiana 59.

"To volunteer to work a shift or to help in any way, call us," McHugh said. "We'll put you to work.

"There will be many opportunities to help, not all of which involve physical labor."
