To get certified via NCCER, go to their webpage at http://www.nccer.org/findCenter.asp
and use the search tool to find an Accredited NCCER Assessment Center near you. Then contact the Assessment Center and find out pricing and schedules for the testing. There is no "online test" that you can take from home, nor are there "practice tests"-you have to go to an Assessment Center where they will proctor the assessment test-you can take it as a paper or computer-based test but you must take it at the Assessment Center. All NCCER tests are referenced in their Curriculum so if you are looking for a study guide, then you shouldl look at their catalog of Craft training textbooks as that is the material they used to build the assessment tests.

I read with interest the offering of the multi fit or coupler panel by Case. These are very good products particularly if you have the 25,000 to 30,000 + dollars to invest not to mention the money installing the auxiliary hydraulic components.
The only other choice being offered today for quick tool changes are quick disconnect couplers and that choice is limited to one Italian design that has an average life of less than 200 hours before it needs either rebuilt or totally replaced.
The problems with todays quick disconnects are, not only short life expectancy but when they fail they tend to send parts either into the tools themselves or into the tractors hydraulic system which results in even greater costs in maintenance and downtime.
The answer to this question from the owner point of view would be to examine both.
Obviously if you have the capital then investing in the multi fit panel might be the answer to eliminating costs of changing tools and making your work more efficient. but if you do not have the larger amounts of money to invest, what you need are reliable quick disconnect couplers that have the features and benefits equal to the multifit panel at 15% of the costs.
Using Quick disconnects that are built specifically for excavator tool changes can be a more economical solution provided the disconnect is capable of giving thousands of hours of implement work with all types of attachments.
Features such as connect and disconnect against pressure without seal or fluid loss, dry break disconnection so there is absolutely NO oil loss when upon disconnect, one man operation, able to work thousands of hours on all types of attachments including shears, and multiprocessors, and have a cost that shows a payback of investment of less than two months.
Being able to do work more efficiently and at a lower cost than the competition is what will allow you to win the jobs you bid.
