Iowa-based  Mi-T-M Corporation, maker of pressure washers and other industrial equipment, has announced the retirement of its long-time president.

Sam Humphrey, president and member of the board of directors, will retire effective June 1.

Humphrey has been with the company for 32 years and 27 of those years as president. Humphrey will stay on the board of directors until his term expires. Humphrey has played an instrumental role at Mi-T-M and has helped guide the company through many milestones, including new equipment introductions, numerous business partnerships, an over 1 million square foot facility expansion, customer growth and becoming an employee owned company.

“I am grateful to have spent 32 incredible years with this great company and I am deeply honored to have had the opportunity to lead it. I am profoundly appreciative of the unprecedented opportunity presented to me by Mi-T-M founder, AJ Spiegel. I will miss the daily interactions with co-workers and customers. I believe the company is well positioned to grow and thrive in the years to come,” said Humphrey.

New Leader Slated

As Humphrey steps down, the Mi-T-M Board of Directors has appointed Rick Stanley to serve as the new president and CEO of Mi-T-M. Stanley has held many executive positions with large national companies including Liberty Diversified International, Flexsteel, Brunswick and Whirlpool. He has 28 years of corporate management experience and will work side-by-side with Humphrey until June.

“I’m incredibly excited to serve Mi-T-M. I would like to thank Sam for his guidance and strategic leadership. Mi-T-M has a very strong foundation and I look forward to working with this talented team of professionals,” said Stanley.
