The Concrete Sawing & Drilling Association (CSDA) is pleased to announce a packed fall 2015 training and certification schedule, with seven hands-on courses planned in three different states.

The fall lineup begins with a certification class focused on Standard CSDA-ST-115 Measuring Concrete Micro Surface Texture. The Standard, released in 2013, is achieving great traction across the concrete polishing industry and CSDA has granted close to 100 ST-115 Certifications since classes began in December 2014. This latest class will take place during the Concrete Décor Show in Indianapolis, for which CSDA is an association partner.

For companies in the sawing and drilling industry, CSDA has scheduled a series of introductory, yet comprehensive classes geared toward anyone wishing to expand their knowledge of cutting disciplines. They are followed by a series of advanced Operator Certification courses designed for experienced operators looking to gain proficiency in sawing and drilling techniques. The schedule is as follows:

  • Sept. 30, 2015 - ST-115 Certification, Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Oct. 12-13, 2015 - Slab Sawing & Core Drilling 101 Introduction, Olathe, Kansas
  • Oct. 14-15, 2015 - Wall Sawing 101 Introduction, Olathe, Kansas
  • Oct. 16-17, 2015 - Wire Sawing 101 Introduction, Olathe, Kansas
  • Nov. 2-3, 2015 - Slab Sawing & Core Drilling 201 Certification, Clearwater, Florida
  • Nov. 4-5, 2015 - Wall Sawing 201 Certification, Clearwater, Florida
  • Nov. 6-7, 2015 - Wire Sawing 201 Certification, Clearwater, Florida

All classes have been scheduled to provide cutting and polishing contractors with choice and flexibility, allowing operators and employees to attend when and where companies can afford to send them. In addition, as part of its Train More Save More program, the association offers large discounts to companies that send multiple operators to sawing and drilling courses. CSDA also has an online training website consisting of 27 courses that are available via www.csdatraining.com.

“Since its launch in 1995, the CSDA Training Program has had over 4,000 graduates and over the past couple of years we have seen course participation grow across the board. An increasing number of companies are once again feeling financially confident enough to invest in industry training, which not only improves efficiency, safety and productivity but raises the professionalism of the whole industry,” says CSDA Lead Instructor Rick Norland.

The association has hands-on, classroom and online courses for every discipline and skill level, allowing contractors to provide operators with superior training. To find registration details and other important information about the above classes, visit www.csda.org/training.
