The National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) has released its sixth edition of its Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) curriculum. Last updated in 2018, the title is now HVACR to reflect the coverage of refrigeration within several modules of the curriculum.

These courses have been updated with videos accessible by QR code, self-guided study and more. The curriculum contains on-the-job case studies, enhanced electrical safety content and updated technology and equipment. In addition, the curriculum also meets HVAC Excellence accreditation standards to prepare trainees to sit for HVAC Excellence certification tests.

There will be a webinar on July 13 to explain the programming in more detail. Students are asked to keep in mind that the sixth edition will likely take four to six weeks to become available on NCCER's platform, NCCERconnect.
