AEMP Honors 2013 Technicians of the Year

Two technicians honored for technical skills, innovative troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities

The Association of Equipment Management Professionals honored the 2013 Technicians of the Year at its Management Conference and Annual Meeting.

This year’s recipients are

Sponsored by the AEMP Foundation and John Deere, the Technician of the Year Award acknowledges professionals who exhibit technical skills, and innovative troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities. These professionals have also made significant contributions to the equipment technician profession.

Part of the S.J. Louis Construction of Texas team of three years, Presser exemplifies the attributes of an AEMP technician as he demonstrates his ability to overcome any obstacle. Matt supports a mixed fleet of excavators, dozers, loaders, compactors and specialized tunneling equipment from many OEM’s. In addition, he has served as the primary technician as S.J. Louis has navigated through the struggles of Tier 4 integration into their fleet.

Brierley has been with Virginia Department of Transportation for almost 20 years. He has seven ASE certifications, is Shielded-Metal-Arc-Welding certified, has certification for refrigerant recovery and recycling and is certified for Virginia State Police Equipment Safety Inspections. Brierley’s passion for innovation and his constant search for better solutions set him apart from his peers.
