SAKAI was founded in Japan in 1918 for the manufacture and repair of diesel locomotives and their engines. Since that time, the company has evolved and grown to an annual production of over 4,000 vibratory compactors per year. SAKAI vibratory compactors were introduced to North America in 1976.Â
SAKAI offers a wide range of high force vibratory soil compactors designed for rapid compaction of all types of soil, rockfill, recycled base materials and soil cement. It also offers a full complement of high frequency vibratory asphalt rollers for meeting density and smoothness requirements on HMA. SAKAI has a nationwide dealer network for the sale and support of its products on a local level.
