Software will take advantage of technologies such as RFID and GPS-based information gathering. Processes will rely less on human intervention and interpretation, resulting in more accurate and timely assimilation of meaningful data.
Software will focus more on business operations and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) so customers can see improved and more relevant reporting and analytics.
Rental software has made some good strides in mobile technology, but it can take better advantage of the proliferation of mobile devices.
GPS will be way more prevalent and will become less expensive per unit to install and therefore more attractive to the average rental company.
