With 60 employees working across the company's three divisions, Michel Concrete Construction, Inc.'s CEO and President Mary Wilson keeps her workers connected with a weekly newsletter. Each issue includes employee birthdays, company trivia such as the total yards of concrete poured that week, photos and information about the jobs the company is working on, and "pats on the back" for employees who went above and beyond on the jobsite that week.
"The newsletter keeps employees involved with all the projects going on throughout the company and makes them feel like they are part of an organization," Mary explains. "Because newsletters go out attached to payroll checks they are regularly viewed by employee families, extending the 'Michel Culture' and creating pride amongst our employees as they discuss their work with family and friends."
