The American Society of Concrete Contractors will present Troubleshooting Integrally Colored Concrete in a webinar on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. The webinar will take place from 3:00 pm (CDT) to 4:00 pm (CDT) and will be presented by Chris Sullivan of ChemSystems Inc.

Integrally colored concrete is the largest market segment of the decorative concrete industry in the world.  Sales of iron oxide pigment into the US construction industry have exceeded 250 million pounds annually. Available in powder, liquid, and granular form, pigments for concrete and cement based products continues to grow, becoming more diverse each year. 

Considering the volume of pigment used in the US construction market, the number of  problems associated with integrally colored concrete is actually quite small. Even when best practice is employed there are certain factors that impact integrally colored concrete. This presentation will address the common issues, and some not so common, associated with integrally colored concrete, the cause, how they present in the field, as well as the best methods for remedying the problem. The main focus will be integrally colored concrete, stamped and textured concrete, as well as vertical cast in place applications.
