KTI-Plersch Kältetechnik GmbH was founded in 1986 by Rupert Plersch, and currently employs 160 people. Its roots go back to Richard Plersch Senior, who started designing and making refrigeration components and systems back in 1923. Today, the company is the world market leader in concrete cooling and heating, and specializes in turnkey solutions for mine cooling, food and beverage refrigeration, ice plants for fishery and fish processing, pigment production, and special plants for industrial refrigeration. KTI products include liquid chillers, ice plants and storage, cold air, hot air and hot water plants, and combined refrigeration and heating solutions. A special feature of the company’s modularized plants is their installation in converted shipping containers produced by a subsidiary in Dubai, UAE. KTI-Plersch Kältetechnik GmbH headquarters and all machine manufacturing are located in Balzheim in southwest Germany. For worldwide sales, the company also has offices and service locations in several countries.
