GFRP Form Ties

Composite form ties are a cost-effective solution for formwork.

Glass Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Form Ties
Pultron Composites
Pultron Registered

Machine-threaded form ties from Pultron are made from glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) composites. The tie and nut system are engeered to be easier to use and provide the following advantages:

  • Corrosion-resistance
  • Easier and faster to cut
  • 1/4 the weight of steel for equal volume. The form ties are more economical to transport and are faster to unload when they arrive on-site.
  • The fiberglass tie-rod is concrete-colored. Once cut, there is no additional grouting, preparation, or mixing equipment required.
  • Excellent thermal insulation
  • Thermal expansion coefficient which is almost identical to concrete
  • Suitable for use with ALL concrete grades
  • Reusable fastening nut

They are used in types of applications including:

  • Dams
  • Water Tanks
  • Wastewater Treatment plants
  • Single-sided formwork
  • Columns
