Mary Ann Allen, Chairwoman of the Board, announced the promotion of Jay Allen, president, to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Allen Engineering Corp. (AEC) after the company’s January board meeting. Jay has been president of the company since 2007 and is moving into the position that was held by the late Mr. J. Dewayne Allen (founder of AEC) until his passing in November of 2020.
Jay is the son of Dewayne and Mary Ann Allen and has worked for the company in various sales, marketing, and leadership roles for over 25 years. He is married to Lesle (Secretary / Treasurer of AEC) and has five children. Jay and Lesle also have a son-in-law working in the business part-time.
Jay’s vision for AEC is for it to become a third-generation family-owned and operated company focused on solving concrete contractors’ greatest quality and productivity issues on their jobsites. Allen Engineering designs, engineers, and manufacturers concrete placing, finishing, polishing, and paving equipment in its fully integrated manufacturing plant in Paragould, Arkansas. The company sells its equipment to dealers and contractors across the USA and around the world.
