Allen Engineering Dedicates Building to Founder J. Dewayne Allen

After J. Dewayne Allen’s passing in Nov. 2020, the associates of AEC have dedicated its “South Building” on the AEC campus as the “J. Dewayne Allen Paving Equipment and Product Development Center.”

Friends, family, and associates – from near and far – gathered at the Allen Engineering Corp. (AEC) headquarters in Paragould, Ark. on Friday, April 16, 2021, for a special building dedication in memory of founder J. Dewayne Allen.

J. Dewayne Allen (CEO, Chairman, and Founder of AEC) passed away from this life to the next in late 2020. Dewayne was an avid innovator and creator, but he was also an inspiration to individuals and the concrete equipment industry as a whole. In his lifetime, Dewayne was named on over 100 US utility and design patents – quite an accomplishment for a civil engineer with a passion. The products that resulted in his passion are now in use by concrete contractors all over the globe.

After Dewayne’s passing, the associates of AEC decided to put together a dedication in his memory. What was once the “South Building” on the AEC campus is now known as the “J. Dewayne Allen Paving Equipment and Product Development Center” – a place where ideas, new and old, will become reality. This center of paving equipment and product development will continue the work of Dewayne for countless years to come.
