Topcon Positioning Group and specialized building construction North American dealers are inviting construction professionals to “Meetup. Learn. Network. Succeed.” through a traveling program focused on digital construction best practices. The 2019 Vertical Construction Tour will be held in social venues throughout the U.S. and feature the new GTL-1000 construction verification system, which offers workflows that speed up what traditionally took days to now only hours to complete.

The tour includes 11 dates and locations, free to registered participants, beginning in Baltimore, June 11.

“We’re connecting building construction professionals — executives, operations, VDC teams, superintendents, foremen and layout crew members — with our positioning technology experts in a relaxed, social hour setting to discuss the latest practices in construction verification, digital layout, 3D scanning, and integrated workflows. If you’re interested in cutting-edge workflows that will increase your productivity, reduce errors, and deliver increased business value, then we will see you there,” said Brice Walker, Topcon vice president of GeoPositioning solutions.

“The new star of our portfolio, the GTL-1000, will be the focus of the tour and we are looking forward to taking it on the road. This new solution combines a compact scanner integrated with a fully featured robotic total station enabling contractors to perform construction verification on an everyday basis. The ability to layout and scan on a single set-up combined with ClearEdge3D Verity software creates a new standard in verification that can be completed in just a few hours,” said Walker.
