The House has approved a bill that will increase oversight and management of large Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) construction projects. After passing on a voice vote, the bill now goes to the Senate.

Under the bill, the VA would be required to allow the Army Corps of Engineers and other federal agencies to manage projects that cost more than $100 million. The VA will also be required to keep Congress closely informed on the large projects.
