This is such an interesting and thought provoking piece. It made me think of my father home on leave, coming from the African Campaign and headed for the European Campaign. He brought gifts. A doll for me. A fez for my brother, and for Mother, a hand-tooled unstuffed hassock that he said was made of camel skin. It looked beautiful and smelled strange.
