More Pre-bid Notices Posted for Border Wall Construction

Notice has been posted for a multiple-award task order contract (MATOC) for construction of the U.S./Mexico border wall in the Rio Grande Valley and other locations. A total of 10 contracts "will be solicited with a target of five unrestricted awards and five awards being made to small business concerns for a small business reserve within the MATOC", according to the notice.

The contracts will be for construction in Laredo, Del Rio, Big Bend and El Paso. The unrestricted awards are valued between $25 million and $350 million. The small business awards are valued between $2,000 and $25 million. Construction contracts will include "maintenance, repairs and alterations activities such as fence, wall, patrol roads, access roads, lights, gates for access to border monuments and maintenance, and for Border Patrol operational use, drainage improvements, levee walls, and other miscellaneous improvements, repairs, and alterations."
