Feds to Commit $460 Million for Rail to Connect Twin Cities

St. Paul mayor says Federal Transit Administration will sign grant agreement for nearly half the Minnesota project's cost next week


St. Paul, Minn., Mayor Chris Coleman said the Federal Transit Administration will sign the long-awaited "full funding grant agreement" next week, officially committing about $460 million in federal aid toward the $957-million Central Corridor light-rail project connecting the Twin Cities. State and local money will make up the other half of the project's budget.
