The U.S. Department of Labor awarded a $2.6 million grant to a group of Miami-area organizations with plans to train workers looking for careers in green construction industries. The three-year project will provide industry-recognized credentials in green construction and weatherization. After training, workers qualify for Laborer's International Union of North America apprenticeship programs and living wage jobs that provide career growth opportunities.
