The threat of rain deterred Rayner Equipment Systems from spraying sealer with its PavementSaver II dual application machine, but contractors took advantage of the opportunity to test out the unit spraying water on the pavement.
The most-complex demonstration involved repaving a large patch which was shared by Carlson Paving Products CP90 paver and Leeboy’s 8510 unit. Site prep including milling, handwork, tacking and compaction was handled by National Paving, Riverside, CA.
Nine outdoor equipment demonstrations highlighted the first Pavement LIVE trade show, held last week at the Town & Country Resort and Hotel in San Diego. Pavement LIVE featured almost 50 exhibitors and 39 conference sessions, but the main attraction for contractors was two afternoons of demonstrations, each attracting strong crowds.
Demonstrations took place at various locations on the Town & Country property, providing needed repairs and upgrades to the pavement. Ten companies participated in the nine demonstrations: Carlson Paving, Leeboy/Nixon-Egli, Crafco, Cimline, SealMaster, Ray-Tech, Kasi Infrared, Rayner Equipment, Waterblasting Technologies, and Titan Tool.
