Stalled Transportation Funding Makes Top 5 Political Stories in PA

Gov. Tom Corbett indicates that taking action on his own transportation-funding commission's recommendations would likely have to wait until the economy improved

In April, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett announced the formation of a special advisory commission charged with coming up with a way to raise $2.5 billion for road and bridge repairs.

Corbett promised to review the document and release his recommendations to lawmakers. But late in the year, the Republican signalled that he thought it was an issue that would likely have to wait until the economy improved.
