CSDA Trains in Sawing and Drilling on the Slab at World of Concrete 2012

Concrete Sawing & Drilling Association training includes hands-on cutting time on slabs provided by show exhibitors

The Concrete Sawing & Drilling Association (CSDA) is offering two training classes at World of Concrete 2012 in Las Vegas next week. A CSDA Hand Sawing & Drilling 101 class will start on January 24 from 8 am to 5 pm and run for three days, and a two-day CSDA Estimating class will  will run at the same time.

Content for the Hand Sawing & Drilling 101 class will be split between the classroom and the slab, and students will spend time each morning at the outdoor exhibit booths of several CSDA member companies to perform practical exercises.

ICS Blount, for example, is providing hands-on operator training to support Hand Sawing & Drilling 101 from 7 am to 9 am on Thursday, January 25, at booth No. O31102. Other CSDA members are slated to support the class in the same time frame, and from 7 to 9 am on Wednesday as well.

Vendor training will follow the Concrete Chain Sawing section from CSDA training manual, with about 45 minutes of workbench time and 45 minutes of hands-on cutting.
