Atlas Copco Buys Chinese Maker of Compressed-Air Treatment Products

Privately owned maker of compressed air and gas drying and filtration equipment had annual revenues of about $12.7 million

Atlas Copco extended its market presence and product offering in China by acquiring the Wuxi Shengda Air/Gas Purity Equipment Co. Ltd. in China. The acquired company had annual revenues of CNY 95 million (about $12.7 million).

Shengda is based in and has production facilities in Wuxi, near Shanghai, where it manufactures compressed air and gas drying and filtration equipment. It is a privately owned company with 130 employees, and has been active in the air treatment industry since 1996.
