Steve Halverson Elected National Chairman for Construction Industry Round Table

Halverson will serve as the National Chairman of the association for a one-year term

The Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT), is pleased to announce the election of Steven T. Halverson, DBIA, as National Chairman for a term of one year.

Halverson is president and chief executive officer of Haskell, Jacksonville, Fla., a leading integrated design-build firm in the civil infrastructure, industrial and commercial markets with offices in Atlanta; Dallas; Jacksonville, Fla.; Columbus, Ohio; Beloit, Wis.; and Mexico City.  Halverson has previously chaired the Design-Build Institute of America and the National Center for Construction Education and Research. He currently is a corporate director for CSX Transportation and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. 

"Steve brings a unique blend of experiences to the CIRT Chairmanship given his career path to the top position at Haskell," said CIRT President Mark Casso.  "With this diverse background, CIRT will have the advantage of his keen understandings on policy issues that affect the entire design and construction industry along with his uncanny ability to zero-in on the key elements  confronting us on any given matter."

CIRT is a national business trade association comprised of approximately 110 CEOs from the leading design/construction companies doing business in the United States and globally. 

Halverson has served in many key capacities within CIRT including vice chairman and treasurer.  Also named as officers of the Construction Industry Round Table were: Joseph M. Cibor (president of Fugro Consultants, Inc., Houston, Texas) as vice chairman; Patricia Rodgers (president of Rodgers Builders, Inc., Charlotte, N.C.) as treasurer; and Patrick MacLeamy (CEO of HOK Group, San Francisco) will continue on the Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chairman.
