About 9,733 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Heavy Duty 3500 Chassis Cab pickup trucks from the 2012 and 2013 model year equipped with Duramax turbo-diesel engines and standard dual fuel tank option are being recalled.

The fuel transfer pump designed to keep both tanks at the same level of fuel can malfunction and cause the fuel gauge to give an inaccurate reading.
