Herzog COO Takes Over AGC Leadership

New president of the Associated General Contractors, Al Landes, will focus on rebuilding the decimated ranks of skilled-trades workers

Al Landes, president and COO of St. Joseph, Mo.,-based Herzog Contracting, formally took the reins as president of the Associated General Contractors of America during the group's annual convention during CONEXPO. Landes will serve a one-year term in office.

“Our biggest challenge today is finding an adequate work force,” Landes said. “We’ve lost a lot of vocational training. We need all the trades. We’ve got to reintroduce them.”
