Bismarck Workers Saved by Safety Harness

Two workers were saved from serious injury by fall-protection harnesses when they fell from a five-story parking structure Saturday afternoon in Bismarck, N.D. .The two men worked for Sowles Steel, a subcontractor of Comstock Construction.

They were attempting to attach rebar to existing reinforcing on the parking ramp under construction at Sixth Street and Thayer Avenue. "We don't know if it was the wind, but something occurred that allowed the rebar to bend or cut loose," said City Commissioner Parrell Grossman?.
