Hundreds of Jobs Lost as Cat Shuts Down South Carolina Plant

Caterpillar is moving engine production to plants in Georgia and Texas, eliminating 380 full-time and 130 temporary jobs

Caterpillar is moving engine production operations from a plant in Fountain Inn, S.C. to plants in Georgia and Texas, eliminating 380 full-time and 130 temporary jobs.

Caterpillar said the move is being made to improve efficiency.
