The 2014 Ram 2500 won PickupTrucks.com's 2014 Ultimate Three-Quarter-Ton Heavy-Duty Challenge, a comparison of the gasoline-fueled, 4x4, crew-cab pickup trucks.

The 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty won the 16 performance tests, events that ranged from loaded quater-mile times to charging up I-70's Eisenhower grade in Colorado at near their rated gross vehicle weight. But the Ram made up the difference in judges ratings, which ranged from loaded ride quality to ergonomic rankings.

Chevy's 2015 Silverado 2500 HD actually took second place overall, with strong scores in braking performance and loaded fuel economy.

A discerning buyer can learn a lot about these trucks from looking at PickupTrucks.com's reports on the individual test results.
