Worker Shortage Delays Nevada Ethanol Plant Completion

Main construction contractor Fagen Inc. reportedly having difficulty finding enough skilled workers for jobs such as pipefitting and millwork

Originally planned to be operational before the end of 2014, the labor shortage has now delayed the completion of DuPont's cellulosic ethanol plant outside Nevada. According to the executive director of the Nevada Economic Development Council, the project's main construction contractor, Fagen, Inc., has had difficulties recruiting enough workers - mainly pipefitters and millwrights.
