SemGroup Plans Construction of Three New Louisiana Pipelines

Construction of the pipelines is scheduled to begin this year with completion by Q4 2016

Tulsa-based midstream oil and gas firm SemGroup Corp. is planning to build and operate three new pipelines in Louisiana, marking the company's first move into the Gulf Coast. The $500 million project includes the Maurepas Pipelines system which will support Motive Enterprises' refinery operations in Norco and Convent, La. One of the three pipelines will take crude oil production from offshore and on land produces and move it to the Norco refinery. The other two pipelines will be part of an intermediate system connecting the two refineries.

The project will be funded through existing credit facility and cash flow with construction set to begin this year with completing by the fourth quarter of 2015.
