Known as The Independent, the 685-foot, 58-story condominium tower planned for Austin, Texas, will be the tallest residential building west of the Mississippi River and the city's tallest skyscraper. Groundbreaking and construction timelines for the $300 million project have not been announced yet. The tower is designed with offset floor sections that will create a look similar to an uneven stack of books.

The Independent is a joint venture between Constructive Ventures Inc. and Aspen Heights and was designed by Rhode: Partners.
