Ohio River Bridges Project Gets $162 Million TIFIA Loan

Money will finance East End Crossing section of the project which is expected to cost about $1.27 billion

U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx announced the Ohio River Bridges Project has received a $162 million Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) load from the Federal Highway Administration. The loan will go toward financing the East End Crossing section of the project, which is said will relieve congestion and stimulate the economy of the Louisville-Southern Indian region. The East End Crossing portion of the project is expected to cost about $1.27 billion.
