Construction Employment, Wage Growth Outpace Other Industries

Year over year, construction employment increased 5.7% and wages increased 4.1%

According to ADP's workforce vitality report, construction experienced the strongest growth over the past year at 9.5 percent. The growth was due to an increase in wages and employment. Construction employment growth was at 5.7 percent, almost an entire percentage point higher than the next industry. The average hourly wage increase for construction was up 4.1 percent, just behind the finance industry.
