The state of Washington is suing Seattle Tunnel Partners over delays to the Seattle Alaskan Way Viaduct construction project. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for delays caused by the breakdown of the tunnel boring machine, which has been out of commission since 2013.

The Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) filed the lawsuit in part to preserve its legal rights in future court proceedings over the troubled tunnel project.

Dispute Review Board Rules Washington State Didn't Do Enough to Prevent Boring Mishap
