The cost to repair the Brooklyn Bridge is estimated to reach $811 million — $200 million more than estimates made last year and $303 million more than the original $508 million price tag in 2010. The increase in costs has been attributed to scope changes and unforeseen field conditions.
The completion date for the project has also been pushed back a year to April 2017 — now four years later than the original completion date.
