The completion date for the Brooklyn Bridge repairs has also been pushed back a year to April 2017 — now four years later than the original completion date.
The cost to repair the Brooklyn Bridge is estimated to reach $811 million — $200 million more than estimates made last year and $303 million more than the original $508 million price tag in 2010. The increase in costs has been attributed to scope changes and unforeseen field conditions.
