BERKELEY, CA - CHENG Concrete, the premier online channel for the most complete product line and information focused on concrete countertops, announces the launch of the CHENG Concrete Countertop Products in a brick-and-mortar store in Phoenix Home Depot Stores.
CHENG Concrete products are now available at a retail level in four Home Depot stores in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Each store has trained associates on site to answer questions on how to make a concrete countertop. The products available include:
"Arizona is a leader nationally in incorporating outdoor living into home design and in using concrete in creative ways in kitchens, indoor/outdoor rooms, fireplaces and more," said Annalyn Chargualaf, president of CHENG Concrete. "Arizona has long been one of our strongest markets for the CHENG Concrete product line. We are pleased to work with Sakrete and Home Depot to offer our most popular products at the retail level. For homeowners working on a DIY project or for local contractors and artisans, they now have one-stop shopping where they can choose our most popular concrete countertop colors, buy bagged concrete mix, rent equipment, save on shipping costs, and have access to a trained professional."
"Concrete countertops are greener, cheaper and more fun - and will last for generations," said Fu-Tung Cheng, world-renowned designer and bestselling author of three books on concrete in the home. "A do-it-yourself homeowner can make a professional-quality concrete countertop in two weekends for about $8 per square foot for materials - a fraction of the cost of other surface materials. With the help of the local Home Depot staff and my newest book/DVD set Concrete Countertops Made Simple, Phoenix-area residents can transform and personalize their kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor barbeques, indoor fireplaces and more."
CHENG Concrete launched the product line the end of May with in-depth two-hour free concrete countertop trainings at four Home Depot stores in Phoenix, Chandler and Tempe. The initial presentations by the CHENG Concrete Training Academy were enthusiastically received.
"The store managers were stunned," said Chargualaf. "The CHENG Concrete clinics broke the records for any Home Depot clinic in Phoenix even though they were two hours long. Each clinic was attended by between 30 and 60 people. Some came from as far as 3 hours away."
