Concrete Industry Management Program Seeks Donations for World of Concrete Auction

Concrete Industry Management

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program - a business intensive program that awards students with a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management - is seeking donations for their fourth annual auction, to be held at the World of Concrete on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 12 noon.

Organizers hope the 2009 Auction is even bigger than the 2008 Auction, which raised approximately $540,000. The money raised from the CIM Auction, to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will benefit the CIM National Steering Committee and support the CIM Programs at Middle Tennessee State University, Arizona State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and the California State University - Chico. According to Wally Johnson, Chairman of the CIM Auction, the event was a huge success.

Those interested in making a donation should contact Wally Johnson at 713.499.6229 or wjohnson@us-concrete.com.

For the third consecutive year, the centerpiece of the 2008 auction was a concrete mixer truck donated by McNeilus Companies, Inc. and International Truck. In addition to the live auction, a silent auction was added. Auction items included concrete saws, drills, mixers, vibrators, scaffolding, safety equipment, screeds, fiber transport systems, dust collectors, NDT equipment, decorative concrete tools, water meters, pumps, generators, training sessions, reference books, advertisements, laptop computers, NASCAR Tickets, Indy 500 Tickets, Dallas Cowboy Tickets, autographed Tom Brady and Adrian Peterson memorabilia, sports travel packages, golf school packages, and vacation travel packages.
